Filt

Filt is an informal abbreviation for filter, used as shorthand in a variety of technical contexts. It does not have a formal, universal definition in standard vocabularies, but in practice it refers to a component, process, or operation that selects or transforms data or signals according to certain criteria.

In signal processing and electronics, a filter is a device or algorithm that shapes a signal by attenuating some frequencies and passing others.
