Filmitooted

Filmitooted, also known as film strips or film reels, are a type of media used in the early days of cinema and photography. They consist of a long, flexible strip of transparent film coated with a light-sensitive emulsion. This emulsion captures images when exposed to light, which are then developed and projected onto a screen to create moving images.

Filmitooted were first introduced in the late 19th century and became widely used in the early 20th century. They were used in both still photography and motion picture production. In still photography, filmitooted were used in cameras to capture single images. In motion picture production, filmitooted were used in cameras to capture a series of images that, when projected in rapid succession, create the illusion of motion.

Filmitooted come in various sizes and formats, including 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, and 70mm. Each size has its own unique characteristics and uses. For example, 8mm filmitooted are smaller and more portable, making them ideal for home movies, while 35mm filmitooted are larger and offer higher image quality, making them suitable for professional film production.

The use of filmitooted declined with the advent of digital photography and video recording. However, they continue to be used in some specialized applications, such as archival film preservation and certain types of artistic expression.
