Feengrotten
Feengrotten, meaning "Fairy Grottos," are a series of show caves located in Saalfeld, Thuringia, Germany. They are renowned for their extraordinary dripstone formations, particularly the colorful and translucent stalactites and stalagmites. The caves were discovered in 1835 by miners and were opened to the public in 1913.
The Feengrotten are considered to be among the most beautiful and colorful stalactite caves in the world.
The caves are organized into three main grottoes: the Grottenmutter, the Großer Saal, and the Tiefes Tal.
