Fe3EDTA
Fe3EDTA, formally known as tris(ethylenediamine‑succinic acid) iron(III) complex, is a stable iron(III) chelate formed by coordination of the iron ion with the hexadentate ligand ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). In its most common representation the iron center is surrounded by six donor atoms (four carboxyl oxygens and two amine nitrogens) from a single EDTA ligand, yielding a neutral complex with the formula FeEDTA and typically a 3‑stoichiometric ratio in solution. The complex is soluble in aqueous media and exhibits a pale yellow to light brown coloration, characteristic of iron(III) complexes.
