Faktoriaaliväärtused, or factorial values, refer to the results obtained by calculating the factorial of a non-negative integer. The factorial of a non-negative integer n, denoted by n!, is the product of all positive integers less than or equal to n. For example, 5! = 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 = 120. By definition, the factorial of 0, denoted as 0!, is equal to 1.

Factorial values grow very rapidly. Even small numbers yield large factorial values. For instance, 10! is already 3,628,800. This rapid growth is a characteristic feature of factorial sequences and has implications in various mathematical and scientific fields.

These values appear in combinatorics, particularly in the calculation of permutations and combinations. The number of ways to arrange n distinct objects is n!, and the number of ways to choose k objects from a set of n objects (combinations) involves factorials in its formula: n! / (k! * (n-k)!).

Factorial values are also encountered in probability theory, calculus (e.g., Taylor series expansions), and computer science (e.g., algorithm analysis). Understanding factorial values is fundamental for many advanced mathematical concepts and practical applications.
