Fagosytoituna refers to the state of being phagocytosed, a crucial cellular process. Phagocytosis, derived from the Greek words "phagein" (to eat) and "kytos" (cell), is a form of endocytosis where a cell engulfs large particles or other cells. This process is carried out by specialized cells called phagocytes, which are a type of white blood cell.

When a cell or particle is fagosytoituna, it means it has been engulfed by a phagocyte. This is a primary mechanism for clearing the body of pathogens like bacteria and viruses, as well as cellular debris, dead or dying cells, and foreign substances.
