Fürsten
Fürsten (singular: Fürst) is a historic German title roughly equivalent to prince. The word derives from an old Germanic term meaning foremost or chief. In German-language usage, Fürst denotes a ruler of a principality or a high noble rank, distinct from other titles such as Herzog (duke) or Graf (count). The plural Fürsten is used for multiple holders of the title or for noble houses bearing the title.
