Extraliga
The Extraliga, commonly known as the Czech Extraliga, is the highest professional ice hockey league in the Czech Republic. Established in 1993 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, it serves as the top-tier level of competitive ice hockey in the country, succeeding the Czechoslovak Extraliga. The league operates under the authority of the Czech Ice Hockey Federation (Český svaz ledního hokeje, ČSLH) and features teams primarily based in the Czech Republic, though some clubs from neighboring regions, such as Slovakia, have also participated.
