Exportwaarden
Exportwaarden is a Dutch term that translates to “export values” in English and refers to the monetary measurement of goods and services that a country sells to other countries. The figure is typically expressed in the domestic currency or in a common currency such as the euro or the US dollar for comparison across nations. Exportwaarden is an essential component of a country’s balance of trade, which compares the total value of exports with the total value of imports. A positive balance, when exportwaarden exceed import values, indicates a trade surplus, whereas a negative balance shows a trade deficit.
