The term itself is a portmanteau, combining "exocytosis," the process of releasing substances from a cell by the fusion of a vesicle with the cell membrane, and "salbimbózással," a fictional term likely derived from a made-up word representing a budding-like extrusion. The concept suggests a dual mechanism for cellular export, where the waste material is packaged into membrane-bound compartments that are then expelled through a process that visually and mechanistically mirrors both budding and exocytosis.
