Eudaimooniline

Eudaimooniline is a term derived from the Ancient Greek word eudaimonia, often translated as flourishing, well-being, or a good spirit. In philosophy, particularly in virtue ethics, eudaimooniline refers to the highest human good or the ultimate aim of human life. It is not merely about feeling happy or experiencing pleasure, but rather about living a life of excellence and virtue.

The concept is prominently discussed by Aristotle in his Nicomachean Ethics. He argued that eudaimonia is achieved through the cultivation of virtues, both intellectual and moral, and by living in accordance with reason. It is an activity of the soul, a state of being that is developed over a lifetime. This flourishing is seen as the ultimate end, for which all other goods are pursued.
