Etüleenpropeendieenmonomeer, often abbreviated as EPDM, is a terpolymer synthesized from ethylene, propylene, and a non-conjugated diene. The presence of the diene monomer allows for vulcanization, a process that cross-links the polymer chains to form a stable, elastic material. The specific diene used influences the properties of the resulting EPDM rubber. Common dienes include ethylidene norbornene (ENB), dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), and vinyl norbornene (VNB).

EPDM rubber is renowned for its excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, UV radiation, and heat.
