Esquinas

Esquinas is the plural of esquina. In Spanish, the term describes the point where two lines, edges, or surfaces meet, forming an angle. It is also used to refer to the outer edge or corner of a figure, and in urban contexts to designate the intersection of two streets, commonly called “la esquina” of a street corner. In many Spanish-speaking regions, “esquina” also denotes a small neighborhood shop located at a street corner, as in “una tienda de esquina.”

In geometry, una esquina can denote the vertex of a polygon, where interior angles are measured. In everyday language, it often refers to the corner of a room, a building, or a block. The expression dar la vuelta a la esquina is common in Spanish and means to turn around the corner, either literally or figuratively as reaching a turning point or entering a new phase.
