Especialitzats

Especialitzats is a Catalan adjective meaning specialized, used to describe people, organizations, or things that have a high degree of domain-specific knowledge or technical capabilities. The masculine plural form is especialitzats; feminine plural is especialitzades. The masculine singular is especialitzat, and the feminine singular is especialitzada.

Etymology: It derives from especialitat (specialty) with the adjectival suffix -itzat/-itzada, forming gendered and number-inflected forms common in Catalan grammar.

Usage: The term is widely used in professional, industrial, and academic contexts. Examples include equips especialitzats (specialized teams), serveis especialitzats (specialized services), and formació especialitzada (specialized training). In medical contexts one speaks of cura o tractament especialitzat. The adjective describes the degree of specialization and is distinct from the noun especialista (specialist), or from the noun especialitat (specialty).
