Eskdale

Eskdale is a valley (dale) in the Lake District, Cumbria, England. It lies within the Lake District National Park and forms the civil parish of Eskdale in the historic county of Cumberland. The River Esk flows through the valley and reaches the Solway Firth at Ravenglass, giving the dale its name and identity.

Geography and communities: The dale stretches from the inland settlements of Boot and Eskdale Green in the east to the coastal village of Ravenglass in the west.
