Esiseoksesta

Esiseoksesta, also known as esiseoksesta-1, is a small, rocky asteroid located in the inner region of the asteroid belt, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. It was discovered on October 25, 2000, by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) project, an initiative to discover and track near-Earth asteroids. Esiseoksesta is classified as a main-belt asteroid, which means it orbits the Sun within the asteroid belt.

The asteroid has an estimated diameter of approximately 1.5 kilometers. It completes one orbit around the Sun every 3.3 years. Esiseoksesta's orbit is relatively stable, with a low eccentricity and inclination, typical of main-belt asteroids. The asteroid's spectral type is S-type, indicating that its surface is composed primarily of silicate materials, similar to those found on Earth.

Esiseoksesta is not considered a near-Earth object (NEO) because its orbit does not bring it close to Earth's path. However, its discovery and study contribute to our understanding of the asteroid belt and the formation of the Solar System. The asteroid's name, Esiseoksesta, is derived from the Estonian word for "asteroid," reflecting the country's contribution to asteroid research.
