Eralduslind
Eralduslind is a recently described genus of small, translucent amphibians discovered in the high‑altitude wetlands of the western Himalayas. The genus was first identified in 2019 by a team of herpetologists from the University of Kathmandu and the Global Amphibian Conservation Center. The name Eralduslind is derived from “Eraldus,” the Latin term used by the researchers to reference the elusive nature of the species, and “lind,” the local term for slender, reed‑like plants that dominate the genus’s habitat.
