The term blends the idea of equilibrium with the notion of ongoing, balanced activity, emphasizing that apparent stasis at the system level can coexist with persistent internal dynamics.

Equilibrumissas are not single fixed points but families of states that exhibit stability when viewed through coarse-grained variables while sustaining continuous activity in hidden or fast-changing degrees of freedom.

Concept and characterization: In a system described by a state vector x, an equilibrumissa corresponds to a subset of trajectories where macroscopic indicators O(x) stay constant in time, even though components of x evolve nontrivially. Net fluxes or exchanges within the system balance out, producing no net growth or decay at the aggregated level.
