Epcot

Epcot is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. It opened on October 1, 1982. The name EPCOT comes from Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, a concept developed by Disney as a futuristic city of innovation and international culture.

The park is divided into two main areas: Future World, which focuses on science, technology, and the environment, and World Showcase, a circular lagoon surrounded by 11 national pavilions. Future World houses attractions exploring space, transportation, media, and nature, while World Showcase presents architecture, cuisine, and performances from across the world.

Iconic attractions include Spaceship Earth, a ride inside the park’s geodesic sphere, Soarin’ Around the World, Test Track, Mission: SPACE, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. World Showcase pavilions around the lagoon include Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, Morocco, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada; each pavilion includes rides, exhibits, dining, and live entertainment.

Epcot hosts seasonal festivals such as the International Flower & Garden Festival and the International Food & Wine Festival, which feature specialized entertainment, food booths, and presentations. The park is operated by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products and is one of four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort.
