Epälyhyys is a Finnish term that translates to "improbability" or "unlikeliness." It refers to a state or event that has a very low chance of occurring. This concept is often encountered in discussions related to probability, statistics, and everyday reasoning.

In statistical terms, epälyhyys quantifies the low likelihood of a specific outcome. For instance, winning the lottery is an event of high epälyhyys, meaning it is very unlikely.
