Entellan

Entellan is a sovereign archipelagic state located in the southwestern quadrant of the Solara Sea, comprising 48 primary islands and numerous reefs. The archipelago’s largest island, Krovell, covers approximately 1,200 square kilometers and hosts the capital city of Lirath. Entellan’s climate is predominantly tropical monsoon, with an average annual temperature of 27 °C and monsoon seasons between June and September.

The earliest historical references to Entellan appear in the annals of the Eastern Empire, dating back to 1521, when Portuguese explorer Duarte Silva recorded a settlement known as “Enti.” Archaeological evidence suggests that indigenous peoples inhabited the islands for at least 3,500 years, with a distinct linguistic family identified as Entellanan. The name “Entellan” is believed to derive from the ancient word “Entali,” meaning “island of light.”

Entellan’s government is a mixed constitutional monarchy, formalized in 1897. The monarch serves as a ceremonial head of state, while executive power resides in a democratically elected parliament composed of representatives from each island. The current constitution, adopted in 2005, guarantees individual rights and promotes environmental stewardship of the archipelago’s coral reefs and rainforests.

The economy of Entellan centers on tourism, aquaculture, and marine biotechnology. The nation is renowned for its endemic saltwater pearl farms, and its marine research institutes publish regularly on reef restoration. Cultural festivals such as the Festival of Lanterns, held annually on Krovell, celebrate the archipelago’s maritime heritage and traditional music. Despite its small population of 3.8 million, Entellan remains an influential member of the regional Pacific Alliance and actively participates in global climate change initiatives.
