Enesekaitseks

Enesekaitseks is an Estonian phrase that translates to "for self-defense." It is a legal justification that can be used in criminal cases in Estonia. When an individual claims enesekaitseks, they are asserting that their actions, which would otherwise be considered unlawful, were necessary to protect themselves or others from imminent danger.

The concept of enesekaitseks is codified in the Estonian Penal Code. The law outlines specific conditions under which the use of force is deemed permissible for self-defense. These conditions generally include the presence of an unlawful attack, the necessity of the defensive action, and proportionality between the attack and the defense.
