Energiaudit

Energiaudit is a French term that refers to the process of conducting an energy audit on a building or a facility. An energy audit is a thorough assessment of the energy efficiency of a building, including its heating, cooling, and lighting systems, as well as its insulation, air sealing, and other energy-related components. The goal of an energy audit is to identify areas of energy inefficiency and provide recommendations for improvement.

In 2006, the French government introduced the Renov cultured plan, also known as Grenelle I, which included the creation of an Energiaudit obligation for large non-residential buildings. The law requires building owners to conduct an energy audit every ten years, with the first audit being due by 2016. The audit must be carried out by a specialized technician and must cover a range of energy-related aspects, including lighting, air conditioning, and heating.

The results of the energy audit are presented in the form of an Energiaudit report, which provides a detailed analysis of the building's energy consumption and identifies areas for improvement. The report typically includes recommendations for energy-saving measures, such as upgrades to insulation, improvements to air sealing, and replacement of outdated lighting systems. Building owners are then required to implement the recommended measures, with the goal of reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
