Energialahutusvõtteid refer to methods used to separate or isolate electrical energy from a system or equipment. These techniques are crucial for ensuring the safety of personnel during maintenance, repair, or cleaning operations. The primary goal is to prevent accidental startup or the release of stored energy, which could lead to serious injury or death.

The most common energialahutus võte is Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Lockout involves applying a physical lock to an energy-isolating device, such as a circuit breaker or valve, to prevent its operation. Tagout involves attaching a warning tag to the lock, identifying the worker who applied it and the reason for the lockout. This dual approach ensures that the equipment remains de-energized until the authorized personnel remove the lock and tag.

Other energialahutus võtteid may include de-energizing circuits by disconnecting them, bleeding off stored pneumatic or hydraulic pressure, and grounding equipment to dissipate any residual electrical charge. In some cases, procedures might involve verifying the absence of energy through testing devices. The specific methods employed depend on the type of energy involved, the equipment being worked on, and the established safety protocols of the organization. Proper training and adherence to these procedures are paramount for workplace safety.
