Enemmistöäänestystä, or majority voting, is a fundamental electoral system used in many democratic countries. In this system, a candidate or proposal that receives more than half of the votes cast is declared the winner. There are several variations of majority voting, including simple majority and absolute majority. A simple majority, also known as a plurality, requires a candidate to receive more votes than any other single candidate, even if it's not more than 50% of the total votes. An absolute majority, on the other hand, requires a candidate to secure strictly over 50% of all cast votes.
