Endometriumbiopsie, also known as endometrial biopsy, is a medical procedure where a small sample of the tissue lining the uterus, the endometrium, is removed for examination. This sample is typically taken using a thin tube called a curette or a specialized biopsy instrument. The procedure is usually performed in a doctor's office or a clinic and does not typically require anesthesia, although local anesthesia may be used to minimize discomfort.

The primary purpose of an endometriumbiopsie is to diagnose various uterine conditions. It can help detect abnormalities such as endometrial hyperplasia, which is an overgrowth of the uterine lining, and endometrial cancer.
