Elementsproducing is a descriptive term used to refer to processes that yield chemical elements as their products. It is not a formally standardized field, but a label applied in diverse scientific contexts to discuss how elements come into existence or are isolated for use.

In natural settings, elements are produced through nucleosynthetic processes. Primordial nucleosynthesis in the early universe created most of the light elements, notably hydrogen and helium, with trace amounts of lithium. Stellar nucleosynthesis builds heavier elements inside stars by fusion, generating elements up to iron in various burning stages. Explosive environments, such as supernovae and neutron star mergers, enable rapid neutron capture (the r-process) and related pathways that forge many heavy elements. Spallation of cosmic rays also produces light elements like lithium, beryllium, and boron.

In human-made settings, elements are produced or concentrated through nuclear and chemical methods. Nuclear reactors and particle accelerators are used to synthesize new or rare elements beyond the naturally occurring ones, including transuranic elements. Isotopes of these elements may be produced for research, medicine, or industry. Separately, chemical and physical techniques enable the isolation and purification of elements for use in products and technologies, though these do not create new elements so much as extract elemental forms from compounds or ores.
