Elektrifiltrid

Elektrifiltrid, also known as electric filters or electrostatic precipitators, are devices used to remove particulate matter from a gas stream. They operate by applying a high voltage to a series of electrodes, which ionizes the gas. As the gas passes through the device, the charged particles are attracted to oppositely charged collection plates, where they accumulate and can then be removed. This process is highly effective for removing fine dust, smoke, and other aerosols. Elektrifiltrid are commonly employed in industrial settings such as power plants, cement factories, and steel mills to control air pollution. They are also found in some residential and commercial air purification systems. The efficiency of an elektrifilter depends on factors like the gas flow rate, the particle size and charge, and the design of the electrodes. Despite their effectiveness, elektrifiltrid can have some drawbacks, such as the production of ozone as a byproduct and the potential for re-entrainment of collected particles if not properly maintained.
