Electropneumáticos

Electropneumáticos refers to systems that combine electrical and pneumatic components to achieve automated control. These systems leverage the precision of electrical signals to manage the flow of compressed air, which in turn powers pneumatic actuators. The electrical part typically involves sensors that detect conditions, controllers such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or microcontrollers that process this information, and electrical actuators like solenoids. The pneumatic part comprises components such as cylinders, valves, and air preparation units.

In an electropneumatic system, an electrical signal is sent from a controller to a solenoid valve. This valve, acting as an interface, then directs compressed air to a pneumatic cylinder or motor, causing it to move. Conversely, sensors detect the position of the pneumatic component or other physical parameters and send electrical signals back to the controller, creating a closed-loop system. This allows for precise and repeatable movements, as well as complex sequencing of operations.

Electropneumatic systems are widely used in industrial automation, robotics, and various manufacturing processes due to their reliability, relatively low cost, and safety advantages. They offer a good balance between the speed and responsiveness of electrical control and the power and simplicity of pneumatic actuation. Examples include automated assembly lines, packaging machinery, and material handling equipment.
