Electron-dominant is a term used in chemistry and materials science to describe a chemical bond or a material where electrons are unevenly distributed, leading to a net negative charge concentration on one side or within a specific region. This asymmetry in electron distribution is a fundamental concept that influences the properties and reactivity of many substances.

In the context of a chemical bond, an electron-dominant bond, often referred to as a polar covalent bond, occurs when two atoms share electrons unequally. This inequality arises due to differences in electronegativity, the measure of an atom's ability to attract electrons.
