Elazig

Elazig is a city located in Eastern Anatolia, Turkey. It serves as the administrative center of Elazig Province. The city is situated on a plateau overlooking the upper Euphrates River, at an elevation of approximately 1,065 meters (3,494 feet). During the Ottoman era, the area was known as Mamuret-ül-Aziz.
