Ekasi

Ekasi, also known as eKasi, is a large informal settlement in the Gauteng province of South Africa. It is located in the city of Johannesburg and is one of the largest informal settlements in the world, with a population exceeding one million people. Ekasi is characterized by its dense, informal housing structures, which often lack basic amenities such as running water, electricity, and proper sanitation.
