Eheystarkastuksii

Eheystarkastuksii is a small rural settlement located in the northwestern part of Pärnu County, Estonia. The village is situated on the banks of the Emajõgi River, approximately fifteen kilometres northwest of the town of Pärnu. It falls within the administrative boundaries of Häädemeeste Parish and is part of the larger Estonian Hydrological Basin.

The population of Eheystarkastuksii is estimated to be around 120 residents, according to the most recent national census taken in 2021. The inhabitants are predominantly engaged in agriculture, with a focus on dairy farming and the cultivation of rye and barley. In addition to farming, a segment of the population works in nearby forestry operations and commuting to Pärnu for employment in service industries.

Historically, the area has been known for its natural wetlands and peat bogs, which have played a role in local folklore and traditional uses of peat as a fuel source. The first recorded reference to the settlement appears in a medieval land registry from the early 15th century, which describes it as a modest cluster of farmsteads along the riverbank.
