Edgelitjärjestelmissä
Edgelitjärjestelmissä, often translated as "edge lighting systems," refers to a method of illuminating displays, particularly in the context of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) found in televisions, monitors, and tablets. Unlike direct-lit systems where LEDs are placed directly behind the entire screen, edgelit systems position light sources along the edges of the display panel.
These edge-mounted LEDs then project light across the back of the panel through a light guide plate.
However, edgelit systems can sometimes exhibit less uniform brightness across the screen, with potential for "clouding"
