Ecoawareness
Ecoawareness refers to an attitudinal and cognitive orientation toward recognizing and understanding environmental issues, their causes, and potential solutions, with an emphasis on fostering concern and consideration of ecological impacts in daily life. It encompasses knowledge of ecosystems, pollution, climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable practices; awareness of local environmental conditions; and awareness of social, economic, and political factors shaping environmental outcomes. Ecoawareness is distinct from environmental literacy, which also includes the ability to apply knowledge to problem-solving and decision making.
