EUKLEX

EUKLEX is a comprehensive legal database that provides access to a wide range of European Union (EU) and international law documents. The database is aimed at supporting the European integration process and the codification of EU law.

EUKLEX indexes over 18,000 law documents, including treaties, court decisions, and legislative acts. The database is fully computerized and is maintained by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Informatics. It provides comprehensive information on the EU's legal framework, including the latest updates and amendments to EU legislation.

EUKLEX is designed to facilitate research and access to EU law for the general public, as well as for lawmakers, jurists, and scholars. The database is updated on a regular basis and includes a search engine that enables users to find specific documents based on wording, birth date, jurisdiction, classification, or relevant international classification.

The database is organized around seven major areas of the law: economic law, financial law, general law, freedom of movement, internal market legislation, justice and home affairs legislation, and restricted access to sensitive information. EUKLEX also provides bibliographies and florilegia of regulations in the framework of the European Communities' common policies.

EUKLEX has been an essential tool for the implementation of the Single European Act and the integration of the European Union since its creation in the early 1980s.
