ESGkriteeriumid
ESGkriteeriumid, or ESG criteria, are a set of standards for a company's environmental, social, and governance performance. These criteria are increasingly used by investors and stakeholders to evaluate a company's sustainability and ethical impact. Environmental criteria examine how a company performs as a steward of nature, covering areas such as energy use, waste, pollution, and natural resource conservation. Social criteria assess how a company manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities in which it operates. This includes labor practices, human rights, diversity and inclusion, and product safety. Governance criteria deal with a company's leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls, and shareholder rights. They focus on the internal system of practices, controls, and procedures by which a company is governed. The integration of ESG factors into investment decisions is driven by the belief that companies with strong ESG performance may be more resilient and better positioned for long-term success, potentially leading to better financial returns and reduced risk. Many frameworks and rating agencies exist to help standardize and measure ESG performance, allowing for comparisons across different companies and industries.
