ERperoxisome refers to a specialized subdomain within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) that is involved in the biogenesis and maintenance of peroxisomes. The formation of peroxisomes involves the budding off vesicles from the ER membrane, which subsequently mature into functional organelles.
