ERVtüübid

ERVtüübid refers to the different types of energy recovery ventilators, commonly known as ERVs. ERVs are devices used in HVAC systems to transfer both heat and moisture from the outgoing stale air to the incoming fresh air, or vice versa. This process helps to pre-condition the fresh air, reducing the load on the heating and cooling systems and improving energy efficiency.

There are several main types of ERVs, primarily distinguished by the method of energy transfer. One common type is the plate-type ERV, which uses a series of thin plates to separate the airstreams. As air passes through alternating channels, heat and moisture are exchanged across the plates. Another type is the rotary heat exchanger ERV, which utilizes a rotating wheel coated with an enthalpy-transferring material. This wheel rotates between the exhaust and supply air streams, capturing and releasing both sensible (temperature) and latent (moisture) energy.

A third category includes heat pipe ERVs, which employ sealed tubes containing a refrigerant. These heat pipes transfer energy through the phase change of the refrigerant. Finally, some ERVs utilize desiccant wheels, which are particularly effective at transferring moisture, in addition to sensible heat. The choice of ERVtüüp depends on factors such as climate, building requirements, and desired level of energy recovery.
