E2FDP1
E2FDP1, also known as E2F dimerization partner 1, is a protein encoded by the E2FDP1 gene in humans. It is a member of the E2F family of transcription factors, which play crucial roles in regulating cell cycle progression and DNA replication. Unlike some other E2F family members, E2FDP1 does not bind to DNA directly. Instead, it functions as a transcriptional repressor.
E2FDP1 is thought to exert its repressive effects by forming heterodimers with other E2F proteins. These complexes
