Délkelet-Ázsia is a geographical and cultural region of the Earth. It is located in the southeastern part of Asia, east of South Asia, south of East Asia, and west of Oceania. The region is broadly divided into two parts: mainland Southeast Asia and maritime Southeast Asia. Mainland Southeast Asia includes countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Maritime Southeast Asia encompasses the archipelagic nations of Brunei, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.

The diverse geography of Southeast Asia ranges from tropical rainforests and extensive coastlines to mountainous interiors and large river deltas. This varied landscape has fostered a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and religions. Historically, the region has been a crossroads for trade and cultural exchange, influenced by civilizations from India, China, and later, the West. This has resulted in a unique blend of traditions, evident in its art, architecture, cuisine, and social customs.

Economically, Southeast Asia is a dynamic region with a mix of developing and newly industrialized economies. It is a major global hub for manufacturing, trade, and tourism. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a key intergovernmental organization that promotes economic, political, and security cooperation among its member states. The region faces ongoing challenges related to economic development, environmental sustainability, and political stability, yet it continues to be a significant and influential part of the global landscape.
