Duceris
Duceris is the second-person singular present passive indicative form of the Latin verb ducere, meaning “to lead.” In Latin grammar, ducere is a third-conjugation verb; its present passive forms are ducor, duceris, ducitur, ducimur, ducimini, ducuntur. Therefore duceris translates to “you are led” or “you are being led.” It is not a separate lexical item but a specific grammatical form used to express passive voice in the second person.
As a present passive, duceris is built from the verb stem duc- plus the present passive ending
- Te ab amicis duceris. You are led by friends.
- Ad forum te duceris, et ite mecum. You are led to the forum, and come with me.
Duceris is the passive form and not a noun or independent term; it may appear in poetry
