Duboeuf
Duboeuf refers to Georges Duboeuf, a French wine grower and négociant who played a pivotal role in popularizing Beaujolais wines in the late 20th century. He founded Domaine Georges Duboeuf, a major Beaujolais producer based in the Beaujolais region of eastern France, with the winery located in Romanèche-Thorins in Saône-et-Loire. Born in 1933, Duboeuf expanded a family estate into a large-scale operation that sourced grapes both from his own vineyards and from partner growers. The company became widely known for its Beaujolais Nouveau releases, which were marketed globally with high-volume campaigns beginning in the 1980s and helped raise international awareness of Beaujolais wines.
Beyond Nouveau, the Domaine Georges Duboeuf produces wines from Beaujolais Villages and from the region’s Crus,
