Dronne

The Dronne is a river in southwestern France, which flows through the departments of Charente and Dordogne in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It is a tributary of the Isle River, and ultimately, the Dordogne River, which empties into the Gironde Estuary.

The Dronne River has its source in the Charente department, where it arises from a spring in thegings plateau. It flows through the Champagne and Val de l'Isle regions, passing through the towns of Trilhand, Rouillac, and Bourg-Charente. The river then enters the Dordogne department, flowing through the town of Saint-Avit-de-Vialard and past the villages of Puymangou, La Tour-Blanche, and Saint-Amant-de-Boixe.

The Dronne River is approximately 228 kilometers in length and has a drainage basin of about 4,440 square kilometers. Its average flow rate is around 19 cubic meters per second, and it is known for its crystal-clear water and scenic valleys.
