Doubleteams

Doubleteams refers to a defensive strategy in various sports, most notably American football and basketball, where two defensive players are assigned to guard a single offensive player. The primary objective of a doubleteam is to disrupt the offensive player's ability to make a play, whether it's passing, shooting, or running with the ball.

In American football, a doubleteam is often employed against a dominant offensive lineman or a key receiver. Two defensive players will coordinate their efforts to block, contain, or tackle the opponent, aiming to prevent them from creating a significant advantage.
