Dororo
Dororo is a Japanese manga series created by Osamu Tezuka, first serialized in 1968. It is set in the Sengoku period of Japan and follows the adventures of a young boy named Hyakkimaru, who was born with 47 missing body parts—one for each of the 47 *rōnin* (masterless samurai) who betrayed their lord. To compensate, he is protected by 47 *oni* (demons) who grant him the missing limbs in exchange for his blood. The story explores themes of identity, revenge, and the struggle for survival in a violent world.
