Dongting
Dongting, commonly known as Dongting Lake, is one of China’s largest freshwater lakes. It is located in northern Hunan Province, on the floodplain of the Yangtze River and sits across areas including Yueyang and Changde. The lake is fed by the Xiang River and other tributaries and is connected to the Yangtze River by channels, allowing seasonal exchange of water.
