Domplein

Domplein, literally Cathedral Square, is a historic square in the center of Utrecht, Netherlands. It is located at the eastern end of the Oudegracht canal and forms part of the city’s medieval core. The square is dominated by the Domkerk, the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Utrecht, and its adjacent tower, the Domtoren. The Dom Tower, rising to about 112 meters, is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands and a leading landmark of the city. The Academiegebouw, a building associated with Utrecht University, also faces the square and serves as a historic venue for university events.
