Dominicanen
Dominicanen refers to members of the Dominican Order, also known as the Order of Preachers (Ordo Praedicatorum, OP). The order was founded by Saint Dominic in the early 13th century to promote preaching, education, and the defense of Catholic doctrine against heresy. It received papal approval from Pope Honorius III in 1216 and quickly established houses across Europe.
