Ditidaht
Ditidaht is a First Nation located on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Their traditional territory encompasses the area around Nitinat Lake, as well as portions of the Pacific coast. The Ditidaht people are part of the Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) tribal group. Their language is also known as Ditidaht, a Wakashan language. Historically, the Ditidaht were known for their seafaring skills, fishing, and whale hunting. Their territory is rich in natural resources, including cedar forests and abundant marine life.
